Re: Stepper Motor with Positioning Feedback Signal (like servo motor)

The CVK series is an open loop system so there is no feedback to the driver. We do offer PKP motors with encoders but the feedback would have to go to a controller. For the controller we offer the SCX11 (linked below) which has an input for an external encoder. https://catalog.orientalmotor.com/item...

Re: Stepper Motor with Positioning Feedback Signal (like servo motor)

Hi Essenceindia, For stepper motor and drivers that offer a feedback signal both the AR and AZ series have the ASG/BSG as a feedback output. For the AR series the pulse input type driver offers the resolver feedback via ASG/BSG. For more information about the AR series ASG/BSG output please refer to...

Hi Essenceindia,

For the BMU series there are I/O that can be controlled via a PLC. For information about wiring the I/O please refer to the link below.

Hi Bryant,

Oriental Motor only offers Fuji inverters. If you would like a Third-party inverter can be used with our three phase induction motors.

Re: Suitable BLDC Motor

Hi essenceindia, The recommended 200 W Brushless DC motor with a speed range of 0.2 to 10 rpm would be BXS6200A-200S. Depending upon your PLC the BXS6200A-200S can have the speed controlled via external DC voltage (0-10 VDC), external potentiometer or 16 digital operations. The 16 digital operations...

Re: Power factor for 15W AC induction motor

Hi DonC, For 3IK15A-SW2 the power factor is 0.52. The input power is calculated by multiplying the voltage 220 VAC by current 0.15 A resulting in 33 W. The voltage and current specs for 3IK15A-SW2 can be found using the link below. https://catalog.orientalmotor.com/item/all-categories/15w-world-k-se...

Re: KII Series AC Geared Motors Overheating

5IK90GCT2-36 or 5IK90GCT2-7.5 are meant for single phase 220/230 VAC 50 Hz. By operating at 60 Hz it is causing the higher temperature in the motor. The recommended motors for single phase 220/230 VAC 60 Hz is 5IK90UCT2-36 and 5IK90UCT2-7.5. The motor surface temperature may exceed 70 °C (158 °F) ev...

Hi Essenceindia,

What is the frequency of the single phase 220/230 VAC? Do the 5IK90GCT2-36 or 5IK90GCT2-7.5 stop operating when they overheat? What is the ambient temperature?

Re: why stepper motor doesn't move?

Hi Fikadu, The input voltage specification for the CW input and CCW input is 5 VDC. If the voltage exceeding 5 VDC is applied, connect an external resistor R1 so that the input current becomes 7 to 20 mA. Since you are using 15 VDC you'll need the external resistor to limit the current. For more inf...

Re: ARD-KD: resetting overvoltage alarm through rs-485/modbus-rtu

Changing NET-IN7 to alarm reset would be a type C timing update. Therefore you would have to write to the non-volatile memory even during start up and would require the cycle of power or executing the configuration command register 397 decimal or 018Dh.

Hi Vazkus, For the RS-485/Modbus input or NET-IN the alarm reset is not one of the 16 NET-IN for factory default. To change the NET-IN you will have to write 24: ALM-RST to one of the registers listed in the table below. NET-In.JPG For example you could write 24 Decimal to register 2231 to change NE...

Re: Oriental AC Motors with VFD Combination Suitablity

Hi Shree, All the three phase induction motors on the website are VFD rated. You can use them with a third-party VFD or we can recommend a Fuji Inverter based on the motors power (W or HP) and input voltage VAC. For the single phase 220~230 VAC induction motors those are not VFD rated. However we of...

Since it is not an Oriental Motor product I cannot determine what factors are causing the fan to heat up faster then the winding. Also even if it was our product the AC induction motors we offer are not vacuum rated.

Re: Tension control with a torque motor for winding applications

Hi vroomeng,

Unfortunately we do not have a formulaic version of the torque-speed chart. The chart is a reference the actually torque and speed will vary from the given values so it would be best to test different voltages to find your desired torque for the given tension, and winding speed.
