Q: In your literature, you describe connecting your ARD-C stepper driver's pulse and direction inputs with either 5 or 24VDC signals. In my application, I need to use a 24VDC DIR (direction) signal and a 5VDC PLS (pulse) signal. Is this OK? Will I have ground loop issues?
A: It is fine to use different DC voltage signals to connect our AR driver's DIR and PLS signals since 5/24V PLS and 5/24V DIR input circuits are separate, and they use different GNDs. Therefore, ground loop will not happen.
Please connect your 24VDC DIR and 5VDC PLS signals by using these designated inputs on the driver's CN5 connector:

Unfortunately, we do not show a wiring example with different voltages in the manual.
