Introducing AR Series Built-in Controller (Stored Data) type

Postby om_tech_support_JT » Wed Jun 05, 2013 3:31 pm

Oriental Motor USA is pleased to announce the expansion of our AR Series products with the built-in controller (stored data) type package models. These new package models are available in both AC input and DC input and are part of our FLEX family of products. The AR Series now includes the standard pulse input packages along with the new built-in controller (stored data) type for a wider product selection to meet many stepping or servo application requirements. All AR Series products include a 3 m (9.8 ft.) motor cable at no additional cost.

With the new built-in controller (stored data) models, the burden on the PLC or touch screen (HMI) is reduced because the data necessary for motor operations is stored within the driver. This simplifies the system configuration for multiaxis control. Settings can be configured using the hand-held controller module, OPX-2A, (sold separately) or with the MEXE02 data setting software (now available for download at http://www.orientalmotor.com/support/so ... index.html) or via Modbus RTU through RS-485 communication.

The AR series motor specifications and high efficiency, high duty cycle characteristics do not change with the addition of the built-in controller (stored data) type packages. The new functionality is all in the built-in controller (stored data) driver.

New Features of the Built-in Controller (Stored Data) Type:
o The necessary operation information is built into the driver
- Return-to-Home operation
- Positioning operation
- Continuous operation
- JOG operation, automatic return operation
o Offers the ability to connect to a PLC (Master Controller) or Touch Screen (HMI) easily
- I/O Control
- Modbus (RTU) Control
- Factory Automation (FA) Network

Accessories (Sold Separately):

We are also introducing the AR series FLEX, stored data package models with more competitive pricing than ever before. For example, you can purchase a complete AR series FLEX built-in controller package model for the same price as a pulse input package. We would also suggest that you check our website periodically for promotional pricing. Please discuss your motor application with our technical support engineers to determine if which DG II series model would work best for you. You can either post your question here, e-mail, call, or chat with us online.
