Q: When I use my own Modbus software to send commands through a RS-485 communication line to your Flex products such as the DG II series hollow rotary actuators, will my parameters be saved into non-volatile memory?
A: When you use your own software to send Modbus commands through a RS-485 communciation line to one of our Flex/stored-data type products, the parameters are saved into the RAM memory; not non-volatile memory. You'll need your software to store the parameters. To save the parameters in non-volatile memory, please use the MEXE02 software or OPX-2A control module to program your parameters. Also do not turn the power off while programming into non-volatile memory, and wait 5 seconds after programming non-volatile memory before turning the power off.
